Encouraging Students to be Active
Contributing towards physical and mental wellbeing, Physical Education and Sports at Tranby is considered a vital offering for our Senior School students. From team sports to individual pursuits, and with both recreational and competitive opportunities available, our students are encouraged to keep active, build sporting knowledge and learn new skills.
With every opportunity provided, we are passionate about providing fun, engaging sports experiences that ignite commitment to continued learning, be that for problem-solving, resilience, perseverance, confidence or teamwork.
Sports on offer in the Senior School
An extensive range of sports and specialist programs are available over the course of the College year, providing students with variety, and an opportunity to get involved in something of interest. These opportunities consist of:

High-Performance Cricket Program
Available as an elective for students in Years 7 to 10, our High-Performance Cricket Program is designed for students interested in cricket who want to develop their skills and understanding of the game and industry. The program is offered as a two-year commitment and provides students with the opportunity to develop not only skills and knowledge, but also qualifications in coaching, umpiring and first aid.
Carnivals and Competitions
Tranby College hosts a number of Inter-house carnivals for students in Years 7 to 12. These include Swimming, Cross-Country and Athletics. Senior students can also compete against other schools (both local and across Perth) in various Rockingham Kwinana Associated Schools (RKAS) sporting competitions, as well as in Associated and Catholic College (ACC) events. The competitions and events take place across all terms and consist of: Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Cross-Country, Netball, Swimming, Soccer and Touch Rugby.
Co-curricular
Each semester, a number of clubs and activities are available outside of school hours to improve sporting abilities and gain experience. These also give students a chance to train and develop new skills. Visit our co-curricular page for more information.
